Το ECPE Challenge Companion είναι σχεδιασμένο να σε διευκολύνει στη μελέτη του ECPE Challenge Student’s Book, εστιάζοντας στο λεξιλόγιο. Σε κάθε κεφάλαιο του ECPE Challenge Companion υπάρχει μια λίστα με τις σημαντικότερες λέξεις και εκφράσεις που παρουσιάζονται στο αντίστοιχο κεφάλαιο ή τεστ του ECPE Challenge Student’s Book. Ακολουθούν ασκήσεις πάνω στο λεξιλόγιο για να μπορέσεις να εμπεδώσεις τη σημασία και χρήση τους.
Ειδικότερα, κάθε λέξη ή φράση ακολουθείται από το χαρακτηρισμό της ως μέρος του λόγου, τη φωνητική μεταγραφή της, τον ορισμό της ή συνώνυμα της στα Αγγλικά, ένα παράδειγμα, την απόδοσή της στα Ελληνικά και, τέλος, παράγωγα και το αντίθετό της (εάν υπάρχουν).
Ακολουθούν ένα χαρακτηριστικό δείγμα της ανάλυσης των λέξεων, ένας πίνακας με τις επεξηγήσεις των συντομογραφιών που θα βρεις στο βιβλίο αυτό καθώς και ένας πίνακας με τα φωνητικά σύμβολα
